Day 1
Arriving in Sofia. Transfer from the airport to the hotel in Sofia. Accommodation in 3 star hotel, very close to the center. Self guided sightseeing tour of the capital in the afternoon. Options for dinner.

Day 2
Early morning transfer from the hotel to the bus station. Breakfast in the hotel or package breakfast for the trip. Travel by public transport from Sofia to the village of Arda.
Accommodation in small family hotel in village of Arda. Dinner in the hotel.


Day 3 – Hiking
Breakfast in the hotel. Your guide will pick you up from the hotel and you will pass the magnificent trail leading to the springs of Arda, around 5 hours. Lunch picnic.
Dinner in the hotel. Same accommodation.

Day 4 – Horse riding
Breakfast and horse riding in the picturesque valleys and hills of the region for about 4 hours. Dinner with performance of bag pipe in the hotel. Same accommodation.

Day 5 – Bike trip
Breakfast and departure for a bike trip in the green forests and colorful meadows of the region. In the afternoon biking to the next village of Mogilica and visit a museum of old traditional Bulgarian house. Dinner in the hotel. Same accommodation.

Day 6 – Cave penetration and hiking
Breakfast and departure for the famous cave of Uhlovica and Garga gorge. Penetrating in the water cave with equipment and professional guide. Lunch picnic. In the afternoon walk in the region. Accommodation in small hotel in Smilian. Dinner in a restaurant of the village, with fix menu.

Day 7 – visit of ancient Plovdiv
Breakfast and early morning private transfer to Plovdiv. Sightseeing of Plovdiv and lunch in the ancient city. Transfer to Sofia with public bus transport. Accommodation in Sofia in 3 star hotel. Dinner is not included.

BACHKOVO MONASTERY
One of the oldest monasteries in the Bulgarian lands, it rises in the picturesque Chaya river valley, 29 km south of Plovdiv. Founded in 1083, Bachkovo Monastery is chiefly known for its original architecture, rich collections of old icons, jewelry, coins and church plate.
The library preserves many valuable incunabula and old manuscripts. Its most remarkable feature, however, are the paintings that are seen everywhere - in the church and ossuary, where the figure of the Bulgarian Tsar Ivan Alexander is discernible among the 11th and 14th century murals, in the refectory (1601), in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin main church (1604), and in the Holy Trinity and St. Nicholas church (1840), which contain some of the first murals painted by the celebrated National Revival artist Zahari Zograph.

PLOVDIV MUSEUM TOWN
An ancient crossroads between East and West and Bulgaria`s second largest city today, Plovdiv has preserved unique treasures from its 24 centuries long history. Evmolpia - the city of the ancient Thracians, Philippopolis (372 B.C.) - the city of Philip II of Macedon, the Roman Trimontium - the city on three hills, and Old Plovdiv - a picturesque architectural National Revival period ensemble fashioned by the generous talent, heart and mind of the Bulgarian masters.
From the city`s ancient buildings - the city forum, the stadium, the amphitheatre of Philip II of Macedon, basilicas, thermae, houses and administrative buildings, mostly fragments remain today: columns, capitals, friezes, mosaics, bas-reliefs and street pavements. The 2nd century Antique Theatre,seating 3,000 has been completely restored and performances are again presented here.
Old Plovdiv on Trimontium is the centre of Bulgarian National Revival architecture at its height. Developing in a natural way, the Bulgarian building traditions form the core around which the new styles of the time evolved.
